Why is my puppy trembling and vomiting? Should I go to the vet?

I would recommend taking her to a veterinarian. I am concerned she is shaking after episodes of vomiting. You can take her temperature at home. Normal for a dog is 99-102.5. Unfortunately many things can cause vomiting like indigestion, foreign material, infections, pyometra, toxins and foreign objects. Yes, it sounds like Wonder is painful (shaking), and not herself due to the vomiting. She may also have a fever which could make her lethargic. She is a young dog so most likely she has a stomach upset from something she ate. If she can't hold anything down you should take her to your veterinarian for treatment. She could have eaten something bad, or have something caught in her stomach or intestines. They will do an exam then most likely blood work and an X-ray if needed to find the specific reason she is sick. Then they can prescribe the appropriate treatment. This is a fairly common reason dogs get sick and usually they improve quickly. Hello. If this has been ongoing for several hours & she has vomited multiple times, then I would consider having Kreacher seen by your veterinarian tonight or as soon as possible tomorrow. The biggest concern is dehydration, so you can try to give her a couple of teaspoons of water or broth every hour or so. If she feels like drinking, but vomits afterwards, replace her water with ice cubes to lick on. Absolutely no food until tomorrow. Usually small breed dogs require to be fed throughout the day every 6 hours or so. However, this could also be due to something else like a toxicity of some kind. Seizures can be detrimental to a dog's health and this warrants an evaluation as soon as possible by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a great day!

My biggest concern in a very young puppy with the signs you described is that she has a low blood sugar. This can worsen to the point of seizures and can be fatal if not treated. Young dogs, especially small breed dogs can have dangerously low blood glucose levels. If you have karo syrup the dab some on his tongue and get him to an emergency clinic as soon as possible. That may not be the problem, but if it is it can be fatal if not addressed. Good luck and I hope he improves quickly!

I hate to hear that Pantufla is not feeling well! Just like humans, there are many many causes of vomiting and some of the causes can be very serious. Any pet vomiting beyond 24 hours should be examined by the veterinarian. Any pet who is vomiting more than twice in a day or not holding down water also needs to be examined by the veterinarian. I am concerned that the shaking you are seeing indicates abdominal pain which is very worrisome for an intestinal blockage or pancreatitis. I recommend to have Pantufla examined today.
