My puppy threw up foam, shivering, and uncomfortable. Vet visit?

Poor Handsome! The shivering could be from pain or fever. He does sound like he is quite ill. If he is continually throwing up, I'd be concerned that he has a severe GI illness, pancreatitis, or a foreign body. I'm not sure of his vaccination status, but if he isn't vaccinated, parvovirus could be causing this as well. I recommend taking him into your vet now because he sounds so ill. Your vet can give him a shot to help him stop vomiting, and can diagnose what is causing his symptoms. Your vet can also start treatment to help him feel better. I understand being scared and sad, it's awful to see your pet sick. Taking him to your vet will help you be less scared and sad, as you will be getting help for him.

I agree with your concerns. This is not normal for a puppy, and I would highly encourage you to have her evaluated by a veterinarian. Small puppies can have problems regulating their blood glucose levels and that may cause the trembling and nausea. Try to give her a snack every 3-4 hours if possible. Yes, it sounds like Wonder is painful (shaking), and not herself due to the vomiting. She may also have a fever which could make her lethargic. She is a young dog so most likely she has a stomach upset from something she ate. If she can't hold anything down you should take her to your veterinarian for treatment. She could have eaten something bad, or have something caught in her stomach or intestines. They will do an exam then most likely blood work and an X-ray if needed to find the specific reason she is sick. Then they can prescribe the appropriate treatment. This is a fairly common reason dogs get sick and usually they improve quickly. Yes, I would be worried about Fjola. She sounds very ill, and I see that she isn't spayed. Unspayed dogs can be prone to developing a pyometra, which is an infection of the uterus. A pyometra can cause the dog to have the signs you are seeing, and it is fatal without treatment. I would take her into a vet immediately to get checked out to be safe. Best of luck.

I hate to hear that Pantufla is not feeling well! Just like humans, there are many many causes of vomiting and some of the causes can be very serious. Any pet vomiting beyond 24 hours should be examined by the veterinarian. Any pet who is vomiting more than twice in a day or not holding down water also needs to be examined by the veterinarian. I am concerned that the shaking you are seeing indicates abdominal pain which is very worrisome for an intestinal blockage or pancreatitis. I recommend to have Pantufla examined today. This is definitely not normal and not likely to be due to the abdominal palpation, you need to take him back to the vet as soon as you can in order to get it treated, it could be a gastrointestinal infection or a foreign body ingestion, he will need an anti vomiting injection at the very least.
