Is my 6-month puppy's outdoor dog house warm enough at 6°C?

Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. 8 degrees is OK as long as Tobi has a comfortable bed with blankets. Dogs are comfortable at a similar temperature range as we are, maybe a bit cooler. Puppies have to be warmer than adult dogs. Make sure he has a warm bed and little house to climb into. If you keep him inside with where you are, then he should be warm enough. Best of luck with Tobi!

If the wooden dog house is insulated, and there is a lot of padding inside and the door is covered, that would be ok during the day but I would avoid it at night. Make sure that the balcony has a secure border so that she cannot get through the barrier /slip through or under the bars and fall or escape. It really depends on how cold it is outside, and how well sheltered the area is. I would make sure the area surrounding the house is shielded from the elements so rain and snow can't get into the house, and that there is an overhang of some sort so Kirby can get to food/water/potty safely without freezing his feet. You can also put a thermometer inside the house on a very cold day and see how warm it stays inside of it. If it's cold enough to freeze paws or bodies, it's best to keep Kirby inside. If it's too cold for him to be out but he isn't fully allowed to run around the house, crate training or keeping him in an easy to clean area such as a laundry room can make sure he stays warm enough inside without getting into trouble.

A roof that does not leak and walls to protect against ran is needed. You will have to change the cedar chips out regularly and make sure to add a bed or blanket to snuggle in for extra warmth. Ideally on freezing nights you should bring him in and confine him to a garage or laundry room or bathroom if able

I would definitely provide a heat source for them in the winter, especially if it is going to hit freezing temperatures. I worry about hypothermia if there is no heat source. I would also provide an insulated area for them. Small dog houses can be built quite easily and still be low cost. There are many templates online of how to build a dog house with insulation. Dog beds, blankets and another dog to keep warm with would help as well. If the temperature are too low outside, it is not advisable to keep them outdoors as this could result in hypothermia and even lead to death. I hope this helps! If his dog house is clean, and insulated then he should have no problem sleeping outside. Make sure you regularly clean it and wash his bedding to keep parasites at bay and do regular flea prevention.

If you are talking about 40 degrees F°, that is definitively too cold for them as puppies cannot regulate their normal temperature for the first few weeks of life. Unfortunately (for the house) they should stay inside.
