Is it safe for my puppy to sleep outside in a dog house permanently?

Generally she should be fine outside, you live in a pretty warm area so she could stay outside all year round. snakes can be a real problem though, especially in the spring so you need to pay attention to that.

As long as a dog is safe and secure, has adequate shelter/warmth and appropriate access to food and water there is no reason why they must be indoors or outdoors for any set lengths of times. Space to exercise and play is great for dogs and many are happier outdoors as long as they have a comfortable sleeping area

As long as the doghouse is heavily insulated and she has thick bedding inside, and the door isn't open to where the wind blows in, it should be fine. This situation is generally fine! The main things to make sure you do is keep her up to date one vaccines and her heartworm prevention. Ask you veterinarian about a vaccine called Leptospirosis which is commonly found in rats and can be transmitted to humans. Keep her on a monthly heartworm prevention will also deworm her once monthly (although it may not get all kinds of worms). You won't get worms from sharing the bed with Miku but you could wake up to an unpleasant surprise. Lastly, keep her up to date on her flea prevention so you don't get that in your bed. If the wooden dog house is insulated, and there is a lot of padding inside and the door is covered, that would be ok during the day but I would avoid it at night. Make sure that the balcony has a secure border so that she cannot get through the barrier /slip through or under the bars and fall or escape. Assuming that it is appropriately warm, sheltered and she has access to water, then it should be OK. I would slowly introduce (over a couple of weeks) her to staying outside rather than going from full-time in your room to 100% outside. This way she has some time to adapt. The fact that you have a few dogs that are not vaccinated out there carries a big risk for the pup. One risk is that she will be attacked by the bigger dogs. These attacks can be deadly for a puppy this size. The risk of disease transmission is equally as concerning. It's definitely possible that Princess could contract a deadly disease like Parvo or Distemper from your older dogs. I highly recommend they all get vaccinated before introducing them and it's best to wait until Princess has gotten her 16-18 week vaccination prior to exposing her to other dogs. That depends on where you live. If you have an insulated dog house that stays dry and gives protection from the wind and rain then leaving her outside during the day should be fine. I wouldn’t chain her since if she’s able to move around the yard she can keep herself warm with activity. I would keep her inside during the night so she can eat, drink and sleep somewhere warm and comfortable. As she ages she may need to be inside more since she may have arthritis and other medical issues that would make her more susceptible to getting sick or being painful out in the cold.
