My 5-month-old puppy's front leg shakes randomly. Should I worry?

That is quite strange! It coudl be from anxiety or a muscle spasm. It could also be from an injury but I would expect he would be limping on it as well. I would try to take a video of it and show your vet when you go in for your next visit. You could try benadryl to see if this calms his nerves a little but it may not help. If it gets worse, you may want to have your vet take a look at it sooner than his next check up. If you have done a thorough check of his leg and are finding nothing wrong with Chief and he is walking on the leg just fine, I would monitor this for now. I have seen this in quite a few puppies and when I examined the puppy further, I found nothing wrong and it resolved on its own. If Chief begins to show signs of pain / discomfort, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine him so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. It looks like Chief is about 12 weeks of age, so at this age he still needs to go through the remainder of his puppy vaccinations. At his next vaccination appointment, I would discuss this further with the examining veterinarian. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Hi! Thanks for entrusting us with Bentley's care today! Lameness and/or possible leg pain and shaking can be a sign of a few things that range from a muscle sprain to even a fracture. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian so that this can be further assessed which will likely include radiographs. Shaking is a general sign and can be seen with several things that go from just being cold or nervous to being an indication of pain or discomfort. If he is otherwise fine, then it would be ok to monitor him for now. However, if at any point he appears to be in discomfort or stops eating or showing any other concerning symptoms, it may be best to have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment. It could be Simba is having a bit of pain when he's sitting Without seeing him in person, I can't say for certain. He does not need vitamins, his puppy food will provide all the vitamins he needs. I'd have him seen by a vet to have this shaking diagnosed and treated. Best of luck.

Hello, congratulations on you new puppy. Its likely he was just having itchiness and there by scratching. After scratching, some dogs will shake their paws normally and you should not worry about it. If Chico has more severe or persistent trembling/shaking then have him seen sooner. Hope this helps and best of luck.
