How to identify my dog's breed? What are the best DNA tests for dogs?

Hi there. I'm afraid it's not possible to tell what breed a puppy is just by looking at a photo, as coat color and length, general body shape, etc. often change a great deal as puppies grow. From what I can see, he looks like a medium-to-large breed of some sort. Possibly some kind of retriever mix, but that's just a guess. If you don't have any information about his parents, your best bet would be to have a DNA test such as a Wisdom panel done. This would give you more information about what breed (or mix of breeds) he is, which would allow you to make a more educated guess about his adult size and weight.

Drogo is super cute! So sorry but there is no way to tell what breed he is just by looking at the photos. If you asked 50 vets you would likely get at least 45 different answers/guesses. Hello, it is hard to know for sure but Sharon looks like he might be a mix of a Saint Bernard and a Great Pyrenees, or even a mastiff or Afghan shepherd. I am not very familiar with all of the dog breeds of Iran, but this is what he looks to me.

Hello, and thank you for using PetCoach. In my opinion, Sharon looks like an Alaskan Malamute - she is a bit larger and has longer fur than the typical Siberian Husky. If you want more concrete scientific information, the best (and only) way to determine breed is with genetic testing, such as the Wisdom Panel. Hi and thank you for your question on PetCoach! From the pictures (cute by the way), I would say Eli may be a Bichon Frise or Bichon Frise mix. You can find out exactly what Eli is through genetic testing. It is a little expensive but is interesting and that way you can know for sure.
