Oh my. Poor guy. His symptoms unfortunately aren’t specific for one disease process to speak ok. Lethargy, shivering and weakness can be caused by just about any disease process including: toxin ingestion, underlying heart disease, or even anaphylactic shock is a possibility. But one thing is sure, Snoopy is in need of medical care if this has been going on for more than 6 hrs or so. He will need some diagnostic testing (bloodwork analysis to start) to determine what the underlying problem is so that we know how best to help Snoopy get better. I would recommend getting him seen as soon as you can. I hope that he is able to make a full and speedy recovery. Best of luck to you and take care.

I'm sorry Holly is so sick! A dog's temperature is normally 101-102.5, so she doesn't have a fever. If you have removed a lot of ticks from her in the past, her symptoms of being very tired, sore, and not wanting to move can be indicative of a tick born disease such as Lyme disease. I would have her seen by a vet right away. The vet can diagnose if she does have lyme disease, another tick borne disease, or something else causing her symptoms and can treat her for it. If she did have Lyme disease, for example, it can be treated with a course of doxycycline.

Hello. These are ticks & ticks can carry some pretty serious diseases. You can not rule out that your dog may also be experiencing true seizures due to epilepsy, but this is a instance where you need to get the ticks off your pet & seriously use a product to keep the ticks off as best you can. Kalo should be evaluated by a veterinarian in case he has already picked up one of the tick-borne diseases & I am sure your veterinarian can recommend the best tick products that are available in your country. Ticks can cause illness, but it is also possible that something else is wrong and the tick has nothing to do with it. I would encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian soon. They may recommend an x-ray and / or blood work to help diagnose the problem. With intact females I am always concerned about a uterine infection called pyometra as well. It can cause lots of vague symptoms. I would recommend taking a fresh poop sample with you when you go to the veterinarian as well. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon. HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Odie is super cute! If Odie is an outside dog then he needs shelter from the rain and the cold. Provide a dog house that is dry and protects from the wind, rain and snow (if you get snow). You can even look in to safe heat sources if it gets that cold in your area. I do not recommend not having shelter for outside dogs. He shouldn't get sick with proper shelter. I hope this helps and good luck!

It sounds like your dog picked up a severe upper respiratory tract infection. This could be kennel cough, but also canine influenza or pneumonia. Please take him to your veterinarian for an exam. Since he is shivering, and lethargic, this could be a life-threatening condition.

Poor guy. I highly suspect that Ghost may have a tick borne disease that was transmitted when the ticks were feeding on him. I would highly recommend taking him back to your vet for a tick titer test to check for these diseases and also get him started on antibiotics (i.e. Doxycycline is the antibiotic of choice for tick related diseases) right away! If he is still not able to recover well wthin 24 hrs of starting the antibiotics, then you should consider having him hospitalized with IV fluids and around the clock care. His condiiton is not good and I would err on the side of caution. I am so sorry that Ghost is so ill, and I sincerlely hope he is able to make a full and speedy recovery soon.
