Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Japanese Chin | Male | neutered | 7.5 lbs

He shook his head rapidly side to side got disoriented and fell over had a lot of snot coming out of nose and foamed at the mouth. He was hacking a little like he wanted to throw up. The episode lasted 30 seconds and happened three times in fifteen minutes. He's been acting normal after getting and eating.

Hi. This sounds like it could be serious. I would worry about either some seizure activity, some severe nausea, dizziness, or even ears. Lots of possibilities. But this needs to be addressed quickly. I would call your veterinarian for an appointment today. If they aren't available then I would recommend the ER
