My dog is shaking, can't stand, and head is tilted. Is it a seizure?

That sounds scary! Ruby needs to be examined by her veterinarian today if possible. Pets can have seizures for many reasons including liver disease, electrolyte imbalance, infections, inner ear problems, cancer or epilepsy. She will need a physical exam and bloodwork to begin to narrow down and appropriately address the cause. Seizures are serious and are best addressed early. Best of luck.

I’m sorry to hear about Teddy. There are a couple things that can cause severe vomiting like this - none of them good. Parvo virus or an intestinal blockage are first on my list- both need aggressive treatment. Other, less likely possibilities include toxin, anaphylactoid reaction, or severe gastritis. Unfortunately, he needs to see the vet immediately. This is too excessive to just be “I ate something weird and vomited a little”. The veterinarian will ask lots more questions, do a good physical exam and may recommend x-rays, and/or a parvo test to help narrow down the cause of the vomiting. They can also treat the nausea and administer fluids for dehydration. Best of luck to you and Teddy.

I am sorry to hear that Teddy isn't feeling well. The shaking has me concerned about pain, especially back pain, (they do not always cry when painful), fever, or extreme weakness. Since this has already gone on for more than 24 hours without any improvment, then I would highly encourage you to have him evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible. After a thorough examination they will likely have an idea as to what could be causing his symptoms and will have a recommendation for you. This may involve additional testing such as blood work or an x-ray. I worry that if he isn't seen today that he could become much worse overnight tonight. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon. Oh my. Poor guy. His symptoms unfortunately aren’t specific for one disease process to speak ok. Lethargy, shivering and weakness can be caused by just about any disease process including: toxin ingestion, underlying heart disease, or even anaphylactic shock is a possibility. But one thing is sure, Snoopy is in need of medical care if this has been going on for more than 6 hrs or so. He will need some diagnostic testing (bloodwork analysis to start) to determine what the underlying problem is so that we know how best to help Snoopy get better. This may be due to toxin ingestion or epilepsy, which does occur occasionally in older dogs. Head shaking may be related or unrelated as an ear infection. I recommend having Sami seen by her vet who can perform bloodwork and x-rays and prescribe anticonvulsant medications if the seizures continue. I recommend bringing a video of the episode if you are able to, as his will be really helpful in determining if the episode was truly a seizure. It sounds like Turbo might be having seizures. I would recommend seeing an emergency veterinarian since this has happened several times. Some toxins might also cause similar signs, and low blood sugar or liver disease could as well.
