My dog is restless, paranoid, dizzy, big eyes, ears back. What's wrong?

This is highly suspicious of a toxin ingestion, especially if this behavior started all of a sudden. Please take your pet to your local vet right away to have him thoroughly checked. He likely ingested something that is affecting his nervous system. If he is a typical anxious dog, then another explanation here is that he got spooked by something. You can ask your vet for some suggestions to treat his anxiety. Medication + behavioral modification training with a certified animal behaviorist are the best options for treating anxiety in pets. Yes, this certainly sounds suspicious for some type of toxicity. It's common for dogs to act like this with marijuana toxicity, in my experience, but ingestion of certain medications or other drugs could also cause symptoms like this. I would recommend taking your pup to an emergency clinic tonight for an exam, as this could be a serious problem depending on exactly what she might have gotten into, and how much. The vet there can do blood work or urine testing if needed to help diagnose the problem and get her started on appropriate treatment.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Kimber! It sounds like Kimber ate something toxic. Her symptoms sound very suspicious for Marijuana toxicity. Since she is acting neurologic she should be seen by a Vet right away. We treat marijuana toxicity all the time in the emergency room. If she could have had access to that or any other drugs just be honest with the Vet. They are there to help and it will allow for the best treatment for Kimber! She is having persistent neurologic signs and there may be others that you cannot detect but that can be determined by an examination from a doctor. These are all important findings to determine the origin of this problem. I know that you mention toxin is not possibly but we commonly see pets that have ingested a toxin that was unknown to the owner. Infectious and inflammatory disease are other possibilities for the cause of these problems for Bella. It is best to have her checked out before her symptoms worsen. Best of luck to Bella.

Poor girl. This breed is prone to several disorders that can cause this including: hepatic encephalopathy, hydrocephalus, a brain tumor, or even just vestibular disease. I would highly recommend taking her in to your vet for further testing (ie Bloodwork +/- xrays) as soon as possible. I hope that your fur baby I able to become stable soon! This could indicate anxiety or pain. If she has a head tilt or unable to lay down without flipping over, or non-responsive to you when she is like this, then I would be more concerned about a neurological problem and she needs to see a vet ASAP. But if she is willing to stop to eat or drink and responsive to your voice then I would monitor her closely, rest her for the weekend (don't let her run, jump or play) and contact your vet Monday if she is still showing symptoms. I would not recommend to give her any human pun meds as most of these are toxic to dogs. I hope this helps!

It would be good to have a look around the house and see if there is any possibility that he got into prescription medication, or illicit drugs. Certain plants, wild mushrooms and household chemicals (i.e. antifreeze) can also cause toxicity like this. Considering his current signs, it's best to take him to a vet as soon as possible. They can help identify the cause of this and ensure he doesn't have life-threatening complications.
