My 8-week Goldendoodle puppy has a bump on his eye. Is it a stye?

I recommend using the medication prescribed by your veterinarian. You can also apply warm (not hot) compresses to the eyelid for several minutes three times per day. For example, hold a warm wash cloth to the eyelid. Make sure it is not too hot against your own skin. This can help to treat it if it is a a stye. Hi, and thanks for your question. That is likely to be due to a mild to moderate conjunctivitis, probably secondary to a trauma or infection. At this stage it is not possible to rule out that a small mass is developing (stye is possible, but a small benign tumor should be considered as well). A check up would be needed as appropriate treatment would include antibiotics and anti-inflammatory eye drops. Corneal injuries must be ruled out as well. Take a warm compress, and apply it to the area for five minutes at a time a couple of times a day to see if that helps it drain. It may just be a stye or even an insect bite. As long as it isn't bothering him, I wouldn't be worried about it and just recommend monitoring it. A lot of times these go away on their own. However, if it is bothering him I would recommend placing an e-collar on him to prevent him from rubbing his face for now, then get him seen by your vet for medications to help it resolve. Given the appearance of this lesion, the fact that they're on both eyes, and Honey's young age, my main suspicion is that these may be infected glands within the eyelids. Other possible causes include various congenital issues or infectious diseases. As long as Honey isn't squinting, rubbing at her eyes, or showing eye redness or discharge, it should be fine to wait until tomorrow to have these lesions evaluated. However, if she's rubbing her eyes or squinting, I think it would be prudent to have her examined right away since eye issues can dramatically change very quickly. Until you have her examined by her vet, you can try applying gentle warm water washcloth compresses to her eyes several times per day if she'll tolerate it. I hope that everything goes well!
