My puppy has new bumps on both eyelids. What could they be?

Pet's info: Dog | Great Dane | Female | unspayed | 4 months and 8 days old | 75 lbs

Have a puppy that had two of these pop up last night , one on both eyes. Left eye upper eyelid and right eyelid bottom left like in the picture. Are these pimple or warts or worse?

Given the appearance of this lesion, the fact that they're on both eyes, and Honey's young age, my main suspicion is that these may be infected glands within the eyelids. Other possible causes include various congenital issues or infectious diseases. As long as Honey isn't squinting, rubbing at her eyes, or showing eye redness or discharge, it should be fine to wait until tomorrow to have these lesions evaluated. However, if she's rubbing her eyes or squinting, I think it would be prudent to have her examined right away since eye issues can dramatically change very quickly. Until you have her examined by her vet, you can try applying gentle warm water washcloth compresses to her eyes several times per day if she'll tolerate it. I hope that everything goes well!

What is this pink bump on my dog's eyelid? Should I be concerned?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I would continue to monitor it for now as this may just be an area of infection or inflammation. It could even be a growth though thankfully most of the eyelid growths in dogs are benign. I would continue to monitor it for now. If it goes away then great. However, if it does not go away and actually continues to grow, I recommend you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to look into this further and see what seems more likely. Best of luck!

What are these small bumps on my dog's skin, especially near her eye?

Amaya looks like her skin is irritated, especially around her eye. Puppies can get bacterial infections, yeast infection or skin mites. Less common would be allergies in a young puppy like her. I recommend to have her examined by her veterinarian within the next day. The doctor may preform a skin test called a skin scrape to check for mites and then may prescribe medications. My puppy's eye wound has white bumps. Is it serious or normal?

Thank you for including the picture, it is really helpful. The little bumps and the look of the lesion is starting to be suspicious of a mite called demodex mite. It is very common in puppies, and is not usually itchy (but it can be). A skin scrape should be done to look for the mites. Of Course other possibilities include skin infection or ringworm. My pug has an eyelid bump and watery eye. What home remedies?

Hello, and thank you for your question. The initial bump/growth may be a meibomian gland adenoma, or a chalazion, which are benign growths that often need to be removed surgically due to the irritation it causes to the eye. I suspect the recent blinking and tearing are due to an eye infection, possibly caused by irritation from the bump. This definitely warrants a visit to the vet as soon as possible, as I worry about any damage to the cornea which can worsen the problem quickly, especially if he is scratching at it. In the meantime, you can try applying a warm wet compress to the eye for 5-10 minutes at a time. I would also put an e-collar (cone) on his head to prevent scratching of the eye. My dog has a bump with a scab on her eyelid. What should I do now?

I actually think this looks more like a chalazion, or a blocked/infected eyelid gland. Sometimes these resolve without specific treatment and warm compresses can help, but other times surgery is necessary. A traumatic wound is possible but probably wouldn't be raised. If it still does not seem to be resolving in the next few days I'd recommend seeing your veterinarian.

My 3-month-old puppy has a white eyelid bump. Should I go to the vet?

Since your puppy is due for her rabies shot soon and she does not seem to have any problems arising from this bump, I think you can wait to show this to your vet until you go in for the rabies vaccination. However, if your puppy starts squinting, having a discharge from the eye, or generally appears bothered by this you should take her in to your vet before the vaccination date to have her eye and eye lid examined.
