My dog has a nose infection. Is it an emergency or can I wait?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Irish Wolfhound | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 1 month old | 145 lbs

It looks like my 1 yo I W has a staph infection on his nose. Should I get him to an ER or can this wait until morning when I can take him to his regular vet?

If Tighearnan isn't painful or rubbing at it then it should be fine to wait til morning. If she is rubbing or scratching excessively you may want to consider going tonight just so that he doesn't cause excessive trauma.
