Dog mated in heat, crying and has watery diarrhea. What to do?

If Coochie is not neutered and they mated then yes your female dog is very likely pregnant. Coochie crying and acting this way because your female is in heat. Based on your description, you say she may be in heat, yet the Pet's info section it states that she is unspayed. If she is not spayed, she could be dealing with something called a pyometra, which is when the uterus fills with pus. This can be a life threatening condition. I would strongly recommend having her examined by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. No, it isn't normal for a dog to behave like this after mating. It could be that the mating didn't take, and she could now be suffering from an infection of the uterus called a pyometra. A pyo is life threatening, and requires immediate medical attention. I would take Brinleigh into a vet now for an exam. The vet can do a physical exam, routine blood tests, a urinalysis, and x-rays to determine if she does have a pyometra. If she does have one, the recommended treatment is to spay her and treat her with antibiotics. Please take her into a vet now.

I would not give any expired medications. If the diarrhea or blood continue after 24 hours or gets worse during that time, I would seek medical attention from a vet to determine the cause. I think you should try a probiotic made for dogs (no human products). If after a few days she is still having diarrhea you should take her to the vet for a fecal test to check for intestinal parasites (worms). I like Fortiflora or Advita probiotics but you can use any one made for dogs. Dogs are much more sensitive to aspirin and aspirin containing products (like Pepto) than humans. It would be easy to overdose her.
