Is my dog comfortable holding pee 8-10 hours without using pads?

Look how cute Tandy is! Yes, 13 hours is too long to expect her to hold her bladder, she shouldn't be expected to hold it longer than eight hours at most. I'd see if there is someone you can hire to come over to let her out once during the night, or if you can swing home to do it. I hope this helps!

That is also a long time to not go to the bathroom, even for an adult. Is there someone home to walk him? If not then I would hire a dog walker or ask a neighbor to come over 1-2 times during the day to walk him. If you already do that or have someone at home trying to get him to go then all you can do is have them keep trying. If he is acting fine and drinking water well and eating I wouldn't get too worried. It is unusual for a dog this young to be able to hold it for 12 hours. Most adults can't do that. It does sound like Bella was holding it in the whole time, and six hours is too long to leave a three month old puppy without a potty break. She needs to be let out to go potty at least once every three hours. You can still put her in the crate while you are gone, but I would come back if you can every three hours to let her out, or you can hire someone to let her out every three hours. As she grows, she won't need to be let out every three hours, and by the time she is six months old, she could hold it for up to six hours, so having someone come by is only a short term thing. Crate training is an effective way to potty train a dog, and I do recommend it. I will give you my method for potty training Bella when you are home with her: Start by keeping your puppy on a regular feeding schedule, and taking away her food between meals. Take her out to potty first thing every morning, and once every 30 minutes to an hour. Always make sure she goes out after meals, first thing when she wakes up from a nap, last thing before bedtime at night, and right before you leave the house. Take her to the same spot each time to go potty. Her scent there will encourage her to go. Stay with her outside each time she goes to potty, at least until she is fully house trained. When she goes outside, praise her and give her a treat. I hope this all helps :-)

Definitely moving to an apartment can change a pets training behavior. I recommend kennel training Siao-lyn. You can find many great resources online and dog training books. Kennel training her is likely going to be the best way to housebreak her. Sometimes dogs do need a refreshing course in housebreaking when their home environment changes. An adult dog should be able to hold their urine and stool for 8 to 12 hours. Treat her just like she is a little puppy all over again. The only word of caution I will say, is if you are noticing that she is urinating in the house you should take her to the veterinarian to have her urine checked for infection. Yes you can but if she is used to do her business on the ground with real grass she might not urinate on the pee pad and she has to be walked outside. At 8 weeks, your puppy is not potty trained and is likely very confused. At this age they can't hold their potty very long (no more than 1-2 hours) and will usually have to go after playing, eating, drinking, waking up, etc. You can use this to your advantage to start timing going over to the potty pad and waiting until she goes. If you are unable to take her out to go to the bathroom it would be better to train her to puppy pads. The constant use of diapers could result in urinary infections, and sores from the urine and poop touching her skin a lot of the time.
