There is no home remedy for garlic toxicity (if that is what he has). Garlic toxicity results in oxidative damage to the red blood cells (making the red blood cells more likely to rupture) - you cannot fix this at home. He needs to see a vet for this issue. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Koda! My biggest concern is the butter more than the garlic especially now that she is vomiting. High amounts of fat can cause severe gastro-intestinal upset and/or pancreatitis. Pancreatitis can be mild (just vomiting, diarrhea, not eating) to very severe. Garlic causes oxidative damage to the red blood cells causing an anemia. A lot of it probably could cause stomach upset. Since it has been 12 hours and now she is coughing I would get her seen as soon as possible by your Vet. Good luck!

No, this is not something that will pass. Garlic is toxic to dogs, and lethargy and weakness are signs of toxicity which Nemoy is showing. This is a medical emergency, and he needs to see a vet immediately. Please take him into an ER vet now.

Garlic toxicity causes anemia and signs of it wouldn't show up this fast. I'm concerned it's the breadstick itself that has upset Skye's stomach. I can give you a home remedy for her to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, she refuses to eat the bland diet, she vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away. This may result though in gastrointestinal upset. Watch your pup for symptoms consistent with gastrointestinal upset such as vomiting, inappetence and/or diarrhea. I'm worried there was something in the spaghetti that was toxic to dogs, such as garlic or onions. That could be why Bubbles is getting so sick. Given that he's weak, not eating, and vomiting, I think he needs to see a vet immediately. Please take him into one now. Best of luck.
