My dog ate garlic bread. Is it dangerous? Should I go to the vet?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Male | unneutered | 5 months and 24 days old | 10 lbs

Some gragettos garlic rye bread dropped on the ground. A small piece the size of a quarter. I think Zeus ate it. Do I need to take him to the vet?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Ideally, you have Zeus evaluated by a veterinarian for induction of vomiting if this happened within the last hour. However, in reality this should be a very small amount and he should be fine even without inducing vomiting as this was a very small amount. Good luck and have a great day!
