My dog keeps eating grass but isn't throwing up. What should I do?

I am sorry Dozer threw up last night. Grass can definitely upset his stomach. I would make sure he doesn't eat anymore of it. As long as he is energetic and otherwise normal I wouldn't worry too much about a one time throw up. If this continues then I would recommend bringing him to a veterinarian. It could be either - some dogs with gastrointestinal disease will eat grass and the occasional vomiting could be a sign of nausea. It’s also possible that this is simply a preference that Otis has. I would recommend having him examined by a vet to make sure there is no concern for a gastrointestinal problem. They might recommend checking blood work as well.

Eating grass is a non-specific finding that is sometimes seen in some dogs and can happen literally for no reason other than them wanting to taste it. There are times that dogs do it when they have a stomach upset but that is not consistent so I would not say that is what is going on with Greyson necessarily. Best of luck!

This could indicate a mild case of stomach irritation called gastritis. Dogs have no need for chlorophyll. If she's eating a balanced commercial diet and absorbing it Chloe should be getting all the vitamins and minerals and needs. As long as Chloe is eating, drinking and acting normally you could watch her dog now. But if she stops eating, vomits blood or coffee-ground looking material, or seems painful she should get checked out by her veterinarian

There could be many things that are causing this in Loki. Less likely a foreign body especially since he bounces back right after vomiting. It can be viral related or just a gastrointestinal upset. We always are concerned about Parvo in an unvaccinated puppy since he is only 9 weeks but this is less likely if he is energetic and has no diarrhea. He can always have intestinal parasites especially in a young puppy. I would recommend a stool check, deworming, a bland diet and an antacid as long as everything else is ok. Hello, thank you for your question about Kiyah. Often times when dogs eat grass it is because they are feeling nauseous. Nausea can be a sign of GI upset or other underlying GI disease. If Kiyah is otherwise acting ok and has continued to eat and drink normally, you could continue to monitor her. Additionally, you could offer her a bland/easily digestable diet such as boiled chicken/hamburger and white rice to help settle her stomach. If these symptoms continue or Kiyah begins vomiting, refusing food, or becomes lethargic I would recommend having her seen by your veterinarian. They can examine her and discuss the need for additional diagnostics or treatments. Hope this helps!

Pets will eat grass when they are either bored or have an upset stomach. By eating the grass it will tickle their throat on the way down and usually cause them to vomit up whatever is upsetting their stomach. If Riley isn't vomiting or has a decreased appetite, then he is likely just bored. I would however refrain him from eating grass, to prevent him from having any vomiting episodes.
