Can dogs eat cornflakes? Is it safe to feed my dog this cereal?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I am assuming by corn flakes you mean a human breakfast cereal. It is ok if Felix eats some, it won't hurt him and it's not toxic. It just shouldn't be his main source of nutrition, he should be eating 95% of a balance cat food either canned or dry. But like I said as a treat or by accident if he eats a corn flake it shouldn't hurt him. Hope this helps!

Dogs can eat corn meal but I'm not sure what context you are asking about. Can dogs eat a product with corn meal in it? Yes. Should you purposefully feed corn meal to Pocholo? No. Corn meal has nutrients but it is not balanced. I hope this helps.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Milk can sometimes cause gastrointestinal upset so I would avoid giving her milk consistently. I prefer Royal Canin and Science diet. Any of their varieties should be good options for Browny. Best of luck!

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I would avoid human foods if you can. Once you go down that road of adding human food it is almost impossible to go back. If you need to add human food I would still with boiled chicken or hamburger as it is more bland then corned beef. Consider changing dog food brands or adding water or canned dog food to his dry food. Healthy dogs do not choose starvation and if you hold steady and firm that dog food is all he gets then he will learn. Dogs are smart and will hold out when they know something better will come along. A lot of times the dogs train the owner not the other way around. Be careful with what human foods you feed as they can cause an upset stomach or pancreatitis if too high in fat. I wish you the best!

Cereal and milk is generally not toxic but can cause stomach upset because it's unusual food. Check the ingredients for xylitol (which is toxic and Chewy should see the veterinarian quickly if this is present). Chewy may not have any illness but you could feed him a bland diet to counteract any bad effects if you like. A bland diet can consist of 25% boiled white meat chicken and 75% boiled white rice. The yolk is fatty however, so you need to watch how many calories of dog food you are feeding so Peanut doesn’t become overweight. Also, if you are feeding a high quality dog food (like Hills, Purina One, Royal Canin, or Iams) you shouldn’t need to add eggs. Good luck and kisses to Peanut!

Unless Midnight has an unusual sensitivity, you will likely not see any problems with such a small amount. The main foods that you need to be very careful with, as small amounts can cause big problems, are grapes, raisins, onions, garlic or any vegetable with in that family group.
