My dog ate cereal with milk. Is it toxic? What should I do now?

Chewy got into some cereal probably life cereal with milk but I don't know how much he ate

Cereal and milk is generally not toxic but can cause stomach upset because it's unusual food. Check the ingredients for xylitol (which is toxic and Chewy should see the veterinarian quickly if this is present). Chewy may not have any illness but you could feed him a bland diet to counteract any bad effects if you like. A bland diet can consist of 25% boiled white meat chicken and 75% boiled white rice. Maggy may see some stomach upset from drinking the milk, but otherwise she should be fine. The chocolate cereal will not have a lot of chocolate in it. Dairy does cause GI upset in dogs, so she may have some vomiting or diarrhea from it. If you see that, I can give you a home remedy that may help. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. Hopefully, she should be fine :-)

Unless Midnight has an unusual sensitivity, you will likely not see any problems with such a small amount. The main foods that you need to be very careful with, as small amounts can cause big problems, are grapes, raisins, onions, garlic or any vegetable with in that family group. Just keep an eye on Lilly for now. This may at most cause her some GI upset. If you do see some GI upset, I can give you a home remedy for her. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, she vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away. No this should not be toxic to the point of life-threatening illness if a little is swallowed. At most, you may see some stomach upset (vomiting, diarrhea) in which case a bland diet of boiled plain chicken OR lean ground turkey and rice can be given to help settle the stomach. My 1-year-old dog ate chocolate crispy rice. Do I need to worry?

She's really cute! If you're talking about a chocolate flavored rice cereal, there shouldn't be a problem aside from a possible upset stomach from eating something unfamiliar. Chocolate toxicity is serious, but there is so little actual chocolate and therefore very little of the substance called theobromine that is what is toxic to dogs and cats. The darker the chocolate, the more dangerous it is. Unless she got into actual chocolate such as chocolate chips, bakers chocolate or ate a candy bar, she should be fine.

My dog ate granola and paper. Is it toxic or will it cause issues?

As long as the granola didn't contain chocolate, macadamia nuts or raisins I wouldn't be concerned about toxicity. This could cause some upset stomach however, and since granola can be high in fat you could see pancreatitis develop. I would guess that cardboard would be digested, but if there was any plastic then there could be concern for an obstruction as well. I would recommend monitoring Bear for any vomiting, decreased appetite or diarrhea and contacting your vet right away if you see any of these signs.
