My dog ate Life cereal with cinnamon and milk. Should I worry?

Cereal and milk is generally not toxic but can cause stomach upset because it's unusual food. Check the ingredients for xylitol (which is toxic and Chewy should see the veterinarian quickly if this is present). Chewy may not have any illness but you could feed him a bland diet to counteract any bad effects if you like. A bland diet can consist of 25% boiled white meat chicken and 75% boiled white rice. She's really cute! If you're talking about a chocolate flavored rice cereal, there shouldn't be a problem aside from a possible upset stomach from eating something unfamiliar. Chocolate toxicity is serious, but there is so little actual chocolate and therefore very little of the substance called theobromine that is what is toxic to dogs and cats. The darker the chocolate, the more dangerous it is. Unless she got into actual chocolate such as chocolate chips, bakers chocolate or ate a candy bar, she should be fine.

It might result in diarrhea or vomiting or you may not see anything. It depends on how sensitive Midnight is to food changes. If this seems severe, make sure to take him into the vets. Also make sure that Midnight primarily eats cat food (90% or more of total diet) as cat food contains special amino acids needed for heart health. I hope this helps! Who leaves a cinnamon roll on the sidewalk?? They are too delicious to leave behind lol. All joking aside, cinnamon rolls are not harmful to dogs. Cinnamon isn't toxic to dogs, and there's nothing in the ingredients for cinnamon rolls that are concerning if Carly ate it. In addition, given that she didn't eat it, there is no need to worry. Carly will be fine :-)

As long as the granola didn't contain chocolate, macadamia nuts or raisins I wouldn't be concerned about toxicity. This could cause some upset stomach however, and since granola can be high in fat you could see pancreatitis develop. I would guess that cardboard would be digested, but if there was any plastic then there could be concern for an obstruction as well. I would recommend monitoring Bear for any vomiting, decreased appetite or diarrhea and contacting your vet right away if you see any of these signs.

Just keep an eye on Lilly for now. This may at most cause her some GI upset. If you do see some GI upset, I can give you a home remedy for her. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, she vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away.
