My dog collapsed, limp, panting, then staggered. What happened?

It sounds like Ingmar could have a serious health issue related to heart disease, seizures, or toxin exposure. I strongly recommend you have him examined by a veterinarian right away as some of these issues can be life threatening. Your veterinarian can assess Ingmar for a heart murmur and take X-rays to determine if emergency heart medication is needed. If seizures are suspected, then medication may be needed to prevent them in the future. Blood work should also be done to ensure no organ issues are present. Based on the symptoms you are describing, I would recommend having Zeus examined by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. He may be in pain from a leg injury causing him to not want to move much and also could be affecting his appetite / thirst. Another possibility is that Zeus is currently dealing with Tick Paralysis. There are also other possible causes but these are just a couple. I would get him in sooner rather than later and if that means taking him in as an emergency, I would certainly do so. Hello. I am so sorry about poor Monty. He does need to see a veterinarian as soon as possible to rule out the various causes of his symptoms. These could be seizures, but it can also be a condition called syncope that would indicate that there may be a pretty serious heart problem going on. There are any number of medical reasons that might explain this, but the most likely would be a seizure (not all are classic grand mal), or a heart issue. The best way to determine the cause is to let your veterinarian do a full exam & blood work to rule out any metabolic or otherwise obvious reasons for the episode. Poor Milo! The main things that would cause Milo do get dizzy could be a heart problem, a blood pressure problem, low blood sugar or kidney/liver disease. Milo needs to see his veterinarian today for a full physical exam and testing. If you catch the problem early, treatment has a better outcome. Based on what you are describing I would be very concerned that Scooter is having seizure-like episodes. I would recommend taking a video of the incident if possible and showing it to your veterinarian. It sounds suspicious for a seizure . Kayla could have a seizure for a few reasons. The most common is epilepsy but toxins, liver disease or brain tumors can also cause seizures. I would recommend to take him into the vet asap for a neurologic exam and bloodwork. This will help to narrow down what caused this. Keep him quiet until his visit and encourage him to drink water.
