What causes my dog to pant, get dizzy, and suddenly collapse?

That sounds scary! Zeus needs to be examined by his veterinarian today if possible. It sounds like he may have had a seizure or a syncopal episode. Pets can have seizures for many reasons including liver disease, electrolyte imbalance, infections, inner ear problems, cancer or epilepsy. Syncopal episodes are generally related to the heart. He will need a physical exam and bloodwork to begin to narrow down and appropriately address the cause. Seizures are serious and are best addressed early. It sounds like Ingmar could have a serious health issue related to heart disease, seizures, or toxin exposure. I strongly recommend you have him examined by a veterinarian right away as some of these issues can be life threatening. Your veterinarian can assess Ingmar for a heart murmur and take X-rays to determine if emergency heart medication is needed. If seizures are suspected, then medication may be needed to prevent them in the future. Blood work should also be done to ensure no organ issues are present. I recommend to have both your dogs examined by the veterinarian. Just like humans, many diseases can have the same clinical signs and so it is impossible to know the cause without a physical exam and likely some diagnostics. Being unbalanced and collapsing is extremely concerning for an issue with the heart, blood pressure or the brain. Other conditions can also cause collapse. Fatigue can be seen with many conditions as well and it could range from internal parasites to an autoimmune condition. Have both pets seen within the next day. Diseases tend to have the best outcome if they are dressed early. I hope this helps.

It sounds as Milo is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

Milo needs to see the veterinarian quickly. There can be several different reasons for this behavior including low blood sugar, a shunt in the liver or ingestion of a poison or toxin. The doctor will need to check some bloodwork and performing physical exam. This is the only way to know what is happening and how best to address it. Best of luck.

Poor Milly! That is very concerning. I would recommend taking her in for an examination by a veterinarian. Falling can be a sign of cardiac disease or neurological disease. Sometimes it can be something like Old Dog Vestibular disease which causes severe neurological signs like circling, nystagmus (eyes bouncing back and forth) head tilt and falling over. This condition usually self resolves, but needs a veterinarian exam to differentiate from a more serious condition. Sometimes it can be a heart problem which is causing poor circulation which would require medications. A veterinarian will do an exam to localize the problem to a system and then blood work .
