Pet's info: Dog | Silky Terrier | Male | neutered | 10 years and 8 months old | 13.5 lbs
After being examined for periodontal disease/ a dental abscess, my dog was prescribed Clindamycin HCl 150mg tablets w/ a dosage of 1 tablet 2 times a day. He's a 13 Ib silky terrier. I read online that the dose is typically 2.5mg-5mg/pound every 12 hours. Is the dosage that my dog was given safe? Also he was given a 15 mg tube of Proviable paste Kp to help combat the antibiotics. This should be given 3x daily. Should i start giving him the paste immediately, or wait until antibiotics are done?
