My dog bleeds after long walks, but seems fine. Should I worry?

It could be that Zues did a little bit of irritation to his incision, causing some blood to leak out, but if it isn't a lot of blood, it has stopped and all his sutures are still in place, then there is no need to take him into the vet now. Keep an eye on it, and if there are sutures missing, it stills actively bleeding, or the incision looked infected, then I would take him into the vet.

It sounds like Zeus is extremely painful, and he's quite young. I don't think you should wait to see a vet tomorrow, I think he should see a vet now. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.

Although he is acting normal now, that can change if he is having some sort of bleeding disorder. If there is a constant flow of blood that is oozing regardless of whether he is going potty or not, then that is a sign of a potentially serious clotting disorder. In this case it would be in his best interest to get him seen tonight if the oozing continues for more than 30mins to an hour. Blood loss is best dealt with early on, instead of waiting until the pets blood supply has depleted to dangerous levels. However if the oozing is not abundant and doesn't seem to be continuous, Zeus may be ok to be seen first thing in the morning.

I recommend taking Zeus back to the veterinarian and have chest x-rays performed to rule out anything going with his lungs. If you feel it is more vomit then coughing then I would recommend treating for an GI ulcer. Zeus may need to go to a specialist if this doesn't resolve. If you are unsure of where the bleeding is coming from, I would recommend Taz see his veterinarian for an exam to help determined where the bleeding is occurring so it can be stopped and addressed appropriately.

If it continues to happen then it is concerning and she should be examined by a vet to determine the cause. If she was chewing on a bone the blood could be from inflammation or an injury from the bone. Monitor her and schedule an appointment with your vet if you notice anything abnormal.

It is difficult to see blood in the picture but his skin looks red and it looks like he has been licking a lot. He could have a urinary tract infection causing the blood and may need an antibiotic. He may also have allergies causing the redness of his skin and licking. As for his paw, he may have a strain or sprain Causing the lameness. He really needs to be examined by a vet to diagnose all his problems and determine the best way to treat them. He may need an antibiotic, allergy medications, and an anti-inflammatory.
