Shaking is usually a sign of pain, so it could be due to pain in his back leg or possibly due to a slipped disk. you will need to take Junior to the vet as he will surely need some pain killers at the very least.

So your dog has arthritis in the right hip and a subluxation in the left hip. He may be shaking due to pain from these problems, and he may need pain medications. Do NOT give him any human pain medications. Many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. Take him into the vet to get pain medications. Best of luck.

Severe liver disease or low blood sugar could also cause neurologic signs. I would recommend seeing your veterinarian if you have not already had Bobby examined. They can check blood work and may recommend testing for some infectious diseases. Often referral to a neurologist for an MRI and sampling spinal fluid is necessary to get a diagnosis, but there may be some treatments your veterinarian could recommend before more testing.

Shaking or quivering of a leg can be caused by so many things, including anxiety, pain, neurologic disease, muscular disease, bone disease, etc. I would recommend that Abbie be checked out by a vet. After thorough orthopedic and neurologic exams, the vet may get a better idea of what could be causing the issues. X-rays may be helpful for evaluated the bones and joints of the affected limb. Once your vet has a better idea of what could be the cause, then a medication trial can be used to see if it help with the shaking leg.
