My dog ate a fake eyelash. Is it safe? Will it pass? What to do?

I am sorry to hear about Zeus! Hopefully this piece is small enough it will pass through the GI tract without issue. I would recommend giving him a few teaspoons of canned pumpkin with his food the next few days to increase his fiber intake and hopefully aid in easy pooping! You do want to monitor for signs of obstruction which include vomiting, decreased appetite and energy level, and abdominal pain. If any of these symptoms occur seek veterinary care as soon as possible. Best of luck to you and Zeus!

Mascara is typically non-toxic, but it may be if he ate any if the tube pieces, they could cause some damage to his GI tract. If you see vomiting, diarrhea, blood in his feces, anorexia, or lethargy, I'd have him seen by a vet. Otherwise, he should be fine. I hope this helps!

If she did consume either of the above, then I recommend monitoring her closely. If she develops vomiting or diarrhea, then I recommend that she sees a veterinarian. Hi there and thanks for posting! If it has been 2 or more hours since he swallowed the object, inducing vomiting at a veterinary office will probably not be successful. However, if it just happened, you may want to take him in to his veterinarian do to this if you are concerned. Since we are not entirely certain what it was he consumed, it is better safe than sorry on this one. If more than 2 hours have passed, then I would keep an eye on Zeus for the next few days. If you notice any vomiting, diarrhea, or lethargy, I would take him into see his veterinarian as soon as possible. I hope this helps!

Hello. He will be just fine. Poor Zeus, his sense of smell is so much better than ours that one good whiff was enough to just about knock him off his feet. But he will be fine. Hi and thanks for posting! Any type of foreign object or material ingested has the potential to cause a problem. However, from the picture, it doesn't looks like very much was torn off from the rug placer. These small pieces Loki ate may very well pass on their own without causing an issue, however, I would be on the look out for signs of a possible problem brewing such as frequent vomiting, diarrhea, lack of appetite and lethargy. Thank you for submitting your question regarding Zeus. If the label says non-toxix and it was not a magnetic formula of Thinking Putty, then hopefully he will not suffer any effects. You can call the manufacturer of the putty to be sure though. The other option option is to contact the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center. I hope this information helps!
