My dog got into eyeshadow but didn't eat it. Is she going to be okay?

Mascara is typically non-toxic, but it may be if he ate any if the tube pieces, they could cause some damage to his GI tract. If you see vomiting, diarrhea, blood in his feces, anorexia, or lethargy, I'd have him seen by a vet. Otherwise, he should be fine. I hope this helps!

Hello. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I do not see any ingredients in that product that should be toxic to Uzi. Personally, I would not be concerned. The worse thing that may happen is that he gets some diarrhea. As always though, if you are worried about him you should take him to your vet for an exam, especially if he starts to act like he isn't feeling well. Just like people, certain things can make some individuals ill that doesn't necessarily make others ill. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Hello, and thanks for your question about Willow. From your picture, it looks like she probably ingested very little if at all. She will most likely do just fine. Small pieces of plastic will typically pass without incident. If she's acting totally normal, you can monitor her for symptoms of GI upset (vomiting, decreased appetite, diarrhea, lethargy) - or to be on the safe side have her seen by your vet to get abdominal x-rays and make sure everything looks ok. Of course, if you're already seeing symptoms then send her in to be examined. But if she's acting fine, I suspect she'll be fine. :-) Hope this helps!

It can take up to a couple of days to see problems from a foreign body if one was going to occur, but given that Snowball ate a very small paint chip, I doubt that will happen. I'd also expect to see some GI upset by now. It's great that she is eating, drinking, and behaving normally, and I wouldn't be too worried about her. In all likelihood, she will be just fine. A small amount of glitter is not likely harmful. A large amount of glitter could cause significant G.I. upset because the edges are sharp. Normally, there are no ingredients in lipstick that we would expect to cause toxicity issues in dogs - so chances are good that Khloe will not have any serious problems related to this. She may have some mild GI upset due to eating something unfamiliar like this, which could have caused her to vomit this morning. If she is acting normal otherwise and does not have any further vomiting, it should be okay to monitor her at home for the next day or two. If she continues to vomit today, or if she develops any other symptoms such as acting lethargic or not wanting to eat, it would be best to take her to the vet to find out what's wrong.

At worst, you may see some vomiting and/or diarrhea. As long as Layla is behaving normally otherwise, either can be managed at home with a 24 hour fast followed by a bland diet fed in small, frequent amounts until symptoms resolve. Transition slowly tot the regular diet afterwards. Monitor for persistent vomiting/diarrhea, extreme lethargy, loss of appetite or wobbly gait. These symptoms should be addressed by your veterinarian.
