Is my 7-month-old Boxer puppy's mixed diet healthy and balanced?

I recommend a high quality diet that is hypoallergenic which may help him such as Science Diet z/d or Royal canin ultamino. Both of these are of great quality and also are well-tolerated. If he is 56 pounds like the profile says, he should eat about 1,000 calories per day. That caloric information of the food should be in the back of the bag of the diet you choose. This is not a balanced diet at all for a puppy. Puppies need more calcium, protein, and calories than adult dogs, as well as many vitamins and nutrients. Mince and rice will not provide this for Caster, and this may be why he's so skinny. He needs a puppy formulated food. Brands I recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, or Iams. As young dogs vary in their activity level I adjust the amount depending on Coso. If he is ravenous at each meal you are not feeding enough. I gradually increase the amount at each feeding so he is hungry at meals and he just finishes the food. If he's starving I feed three meals daily, as he ages and slows down his growth he may not be as hungry then I feed twice daily. I recommend twice daily feeding for life and adjust the amount of food needed to keep him happy and at a normal weight. The feeding amounts on the bag are just guidelines. If you are feeding a nutritionally complete and balanced commercial diet from a reputable company such as Purina, Iams, Hills, or Royal Canin, there is no need to supplement the diet with other things. You can give small amounts of meat or vegetables as a treat, as long as these "extras" don't comprise more than 10% of the total diet.

Every dog will be a little different based on their own personal metabolism. At 4 months old Diesel is still growing and should receive around 900-1100 calories a day. You will want to monitor his weight, and adjust his intake based on how he is growing, giving a little more if you can see his ribs, and a less if you can no longer easily feel his ribs with a light touch. Determine how much to feed a puppy can certainly be quite confusing! I'm glad to hear that you are offering Bourbon food four times per day. In another month, you can decrease his feeding to three times a day, and eventually twice per day. The Royal Canin Maxi Starter food is great for growing puppies! By 2 months of age, Bourbon should be able to start chewing through dry kibble, so you can start to wean him off of the water soaked kibble over the next few weeks. Cerelac is not a necessary component of any dog's diet, so I would recommend stopping that and strictly feeding the balanced puppy food. Based upon the feeding guide for your puppy food, Bourbon should eat around 250 - 260 gm per day, meaning that he should eat around 60 - 65 gm per meal.
