What to feed my adopted 2-year-old sensitive Boxer and how much?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Feeding twice daily is fine as long as Caster is receiving his recommend amount of calories per day. I recommend the majority of his diet consists of the Royal Canin as that has the proper balance of vitamins and minerals for a growing dog and the human diet does not. The Royal Canin should have a place on the label for recommended feeding amounts for his age and weight. Kisses to Caster!

Could you post a picture of the bag of dog food? Or a link to the product? I can't find anything when I search "Petco brand puppy food". Or take a picture of the feeding guidelines on the bag. Each type of dog food will have slightly different feeding guidelines.

Every dog will be a little different based on their own personal metabolism. At 4 months old Diesel is still growing and should receive around 900-1100 calories a day. You will want to monitor his weight, and adjust his intake based on how he is growing, giving a little more if you can see his ribs, and a less if you can no longer easily feel his ribs with a light touch. Hi and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If he is rescue, he may not have been eating as much every day as he should which is why is a little thin. Now that he is in good hands, feeding him a good quality dog food formula (I'd go with Hill's, Science Diet, or Royal Canin) will help put weight on him. It is hard to say what Eddie's ideal weight should be without seeing Eddie in person. I would have him evaluated by his veterinarian to assess how many calories he should be receiving every day so you know how many cups to give per day. I hope this helps!

I personally prefer the Purina Pro Plan shredded blends for puppies as they are generally inexpensive, are of great quality and dogs seems to love it. For the amount to feed her, I advice you follow the guidelines that you will find in the back of the bag. Keep in mind that you should get the puppy blend. Also, keep in mind that as she grows, you will notice in the back of the bag that it will advice you feed her more. When she becomes a year old, she should be switched to an adult diet. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Alex is adorable! Congratulations! I would choose a high quality commercial puppy food. I like Hill's science diet, Royal Canin and Purina. Since Alex is a small breed I would choose a dry and a canned to mix until he is about 4 months then change to all dry. I would also feed him small frequent meals, maybe about 3-4 times per day until he is 14-16 weeks. Toy breed puppies can suffer from low blood sugar.
