No...not at all. 6 week kitten fetuses are small and it would be difficult to feel a lot of activity through the abdominal wall at this stage. She's due very soon, as cats gestation period is generally 58-64 days give or take. Their uterus is actually V-shaped, and each horn can lie along either side of her belly. Once she has weaned this litter of kittens, I strongly recommend getting her spayed to prevent further litters and a number of health problems that are more likely to occur if she is not spayed.

Generally a cat is not visibly pregnant until 5-6weeks and would have kittens within 3-4weeks. A vet should be able to feel kittens in the belly at this stage and if negative further investigation may be recommended especially if there is any changes in appetite or thirst or she is lethargic.

Hello. It is very difficult to say if she is or is not pregnant from these pictures, because if she is only carrying 1 or 2 kittens, then she would not be as big as one carrying 4-6 kittens. And if she is truly 68 days into a pregnancy, she is overdue. If she does have kittens you should be able to rub on her abdomen & feel some substantial "bumps" at this point in time. There is a lot of extra fluid in the abdomen due to the amniotic fluid, and that in combination with the kittens will put a lot of pressure on the abdominal wall. A lot of the extra space is taken up and the skin over the belly is therefore much tighter.

Not all kittens kick a lot and as long as your cat appears bright and alert and eats and drinks and has no discharge from her vulva, everything should be fine. A cat's pregnancy lasts 63 to 65 days on average, so at 49 days the kittens are still pretty small and cannot kick hard. Should your cat appear not healthy or stop eating have your vet give her a pregnancy check up.
