Is it safe to bathe my dirty 2-month-old kitten who stepped in poop?

Baby shampoo is fine to bathe your kitten, but a cat shampoo would be a better option for Stevie. It's also safe to use Dawn dish soap to bathe him. Just make sure to wash all the soap out, and to dry him completely after the bath.

You can give her a bath at any time! A soothing shampoo with aloe or oatmeal can help keep her skin from becoming too dry. If she doesn't like the bath, you can also use pet or baby wipes to wipe down any very dirty areas, or even a wet washcloth with a little waterless shampoo sprayed onto it.

I would not bathe the kittens (dip in water and use shampoo) but would just use a moist wash cloth (luke warm) and wipe them down. Then give them back to mommy who will lick them dry. Yes, this is fine, but don't apply any human soaps or shampoos to her, or this can damage the skin. I don't recommend giving a bath more than once a month, because you can wash away the natural protective barriers of the skin. April is soooo cute! I can't stand how cute she is! Her eyes are open, so she is at least 3 weeks of age. Yes you can give her a bath but do not use flea shampoo, she is too young for it. Use a gentle dish soap, and comb the fleas out.
