My cat pooped from vet stress. Can I safely bathe him tomorrow?

He is a young kitten so bathing him shouldn't be as scary as it would for an adult cat. He will likely just be scared and try to climb out of the tub or climb you. Consider clipping his toe nails before the bath! Good luck!

Hello. 1&2) Vaccines are injections that go under the skin, therefore bathing has no affect on them, so you can bathe whenever you want in relation to vaccines. Topical anti-flea medications or de-wormers often suggest you don't bathe for 72 hours after applying. 3) It is ok to get the booster feligen and the rabies the same day. 4) Amount of deworming will depend on Eiric Clawdius's weight, so I would recommend checking in with your vet about the amount of dewormer (Albendazole is a dewormer) and the best types of dewormers available for the worms in your area. You may want to pick a different product for monthly use. Good luck with your little man!

Kitties can be so naughty post surgery. Although it is not advised to do a full body bath, you can use a waterless shampoo and kitten wipes from your local pet store to get him clean. As long as the inicision site itself stays dry you are ok. Best of luck keeping kitty clean! : ) Take care.

Poor girl. It is best to give her a mini bath since we don't know what kind of enema the vet gave her. If she tolerates it just give her a washcloth bath that will minimize her stress. Even if you don't use shampoo and water only, it is ok since you are just trying to remove the enema contents. If it was applied recently, I would bathe him in dawn or some equivalent gentle dishwashing liquid. This can help decrease its contact on his skin. If it has been several days since it was applied, I would still recommend bathing him, but would also recommend reaching out to his regular veterinarian to see if there are any medications that he may need in order to feel more comfortable and less itchy. Hi, you can use the dry shampoo as long as it’s formulated for cats. If not, you can use plain water but rather than trying to dip him or soak him, you can try just using a wet cloth and rub it around his body. Hope this helps,

Vaccines can give a kitten diarrhea for a day or two afterwards, and it's a good since that he is otherwise acting normal. It could also be that he has intestinal worms, and I would make sure he is up to date on his deworming treatments. Panacur is a brand I recommend to give to kittens, it's a three day course of treatment you can get OTC from a pet store or your vet's office. You would have to give Henry a second course of the treatment two weeks after the first ends to kill all the worms. He should then be dewormed every month until he is six months old, and then every three months thereafter. If he is up to date on his deworming treatments and the diarrhea doesn't clear up in 48 hours, then I would take him into the vet for an exam. You can try feeding him a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts to see if that helps as well. If it does help, continue the bland diet for a couple of days, and then start slowly adding back in his normal diet. I hope this helps!
