Why is my unspayed cat pooping blood and crying in pain during heat?
When pregnant, cats do not go into heat. Scarlett is either in heat and isn't pregnant, or is pregnant. It's concerning that she is pooping a little bit of blood, this could be from a GI illness, a foreign body, a sudden change in diet, or eating something rotten. I can give you a home remedy to see if that helps her if it's only a little bit of blood. Feed her a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, there is still blood in the poop, she starts vomiting food, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away. I hope this helps!
