Is it okay for my 6-month-old Persian cat to have cow's milk?

A kitten at 8 weeks old is able to eat dry food just fine. If you want to put a little water or tuna juice on it to soften it you can but it is likely not necessary. If she will not eat the dry food you can always give her canned food. DO NOT mix it with cow's milk - that milk is not good for cats. If you must use milk you need to use kitten milk replacer. At this age it is not advised to give your kitty goats milk. She no longer can absorb it once she has been weaned (between 4-5 weeks of age). It would ideally best to give good quality cat food for kittens as the diet would be more balanced and nutritionally complete to match all his needs. Many cats are lactose intolerant and can develop vomiting and diarrhea as a result of ingesting dairy products. There is no need to give Bent any cow's milk and if anything, it can cause more harm than good. If he is under 4-5 weeks of age, he should be receiving kitten formula (Esbilac is one example). Canned or moistened kibble kitten food can be introduced around 4 weeks of age.

If the kitten is weaned and eating jitten food then you no longer have to worry about milk. You might have to soften dry food with water or with canned kitten food if needed also. I would not recommend giving it cat milk at 8 weeks of age. Sometimes the cat milk can cause diarrhea in older kittens. I would recommend a dry or wet kitten food for a 8 week old kitten. This is the best food option at this age.
