Why is my mother cat crying and howling after losing kittens?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed

I took a stray cat few months ago and 1 and half month ago she became mother of two kitten but two days ago she moved out of my house with them and from the very next day she is crying and howing all over my house and wandering around neighbours home. It seems that se lost her kitten .How do i help her??

Hello. It is possible that something got her kittens & she is distressed over this. Only time will help. It is possible that she also in heat again & a cat in heat is a very vocal cat. I would try to follow her to see if you can find the kittens. If she does not seem to want to find the kittens, then they may indeed be gone. This would be a good time to spay her so she does not have more kittens. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

    You can try looking for the kitten for her, she might actually know where her kitten is but maybe she cannot reach it, you should go after her and try to check if this is the case, you might be able to help her with that.
