Why is my kitten leaking odorless liquid when excited or purring?

It can leak out when the glands are full or if something scares the cat, they can express them. The anal glands normally are expressed during defecation. I would have the anal glands checked by your Vet. If he is starting to spray around the house I would have him neutered. I hope this helps and I wish you the best!

He likely is peeing a little bit on himself, because he is still young and getting accustomed to his body. I wouldn't be too worried about it. Especially if there is no blood or foul smelling urine. Best wishes with Nugget.

Depending on how short his tail his, he may have some nerve damage to affects his bladder control. It may be something easy such as a bladder infection. Your vet can do a urine sample to see if there is an infection and exam his reflexes and tail to determine if that is the problem.

As you likely know, cats normally have very concentrated urine which has a very strong smell to it. If Tommy's urine does not have an odor to it, it might be because his urine is no longer as concentrated as normal. (Urine can actually look and smell like water if it is not concentrated.) I would strongly recommend having your veterinarian check Tommy's urine to make sure that it is normal. Kittens can have a small amount of discharge that can build up in the prepuce that could be normal, but if his actual urine seems to have pus or look abnormal in any way you should see a veterinarian. If he seems to be leaking urine I would be concerned as well. The formula you are using should have guidelines for amount to feed based on the kittens weight, but as long as he isn't regurgitating or having milk come out of his nose he can probably continue to eat as much as he wants during a feeding. You should weigh your kitten daily as a lack of weight gain or weight loss can be the first sign of a problem. Raising a bottle baby is a lot of work - good for you to be willing to take this on!

If the urine is dark he may be dehydrated. Also, frequent vocalization can mean he's hungry, thirsty, in pain/discomfort, and many other things. Open mouth breathing is not normal for cats and could mean he's congested or has a heart or lung condition. The kitten should be drinking milk replacer. It sounds like he would benefit from a visit to a veterinarian to examine him for any medical issues. He may need deworming and the veterinarian can make specific recommendations based on his physical exam findings.

I would recommend seeing the specialist. I don't know exactly if or what diagnostics your veterinarian has run but I would make sure you completely rule out a urinary tract infection with a urine culture. After this the specialist can perform an abdominal ultrasound to make sure Cham Cham doesn't have something called ectopic ureters. This is when the ureter is not attached to the proper place in the bladder. The ureter carries the urine from the kidneys to the bladder.
