My dog ate a disinfectant wipe. Should I be worried? What symptoms?

Check her mouth for excessive reddening. if it looks evenly pink then there is likely no problem, especially since she drank some water. if you see a lot of reddening, spots, lesions, take her to a vet right away.

Ideally, Pepe should be seen by your veterinarian or at the nearest veterinary ER. In addition to the potentially toxic chemicals in the wipe, it may pose a risk of obstruction. Your veterinarian can induce vomiting via injection to get the wipe up and out. This is most successful when done within 2 hours of ingestion. Any longer and the wipe could move out of the stomach. If it blocks, this would be a surgical issue. Pepe may need medication to calm an upset stomach afterwards. A bland diet may also be recommended for a few days.

Many things in life have the ability to be toxic, but the amount touched, or consumed accounts for a lot. A tiny, inconsequential amount of disinfectant that might be accidentally swallowed would not cause me to worry one minute. Do not worry about Tadpole. He should be just fine. Well, it isn't good that Nilo licked bleach. Bleach is caustic, and it can cause oral and esophageal burns. Rinse his mouth out with water, and examine his mouth to see if you see any signs of burns. It's unlikely that one lick will cause serious problems, but monitor him for now. If he develops GI upset with excessive vomiting, bloody vomit, not eating and drinking, or dark tarry stools, he will need to see a vet immediately.

You would need to check with ASPCA poison control (https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control) to be safe, but I do not believe that the chlorox wipes contain bleach. However, they do contain some ingredients that can be irritating to the mouth. However, those ingredients normally take a while to show up as a problem. My suspicion would be that there was something in the wipe that tasted bad or was bitter which caused the foaming and that was irritating enough to cause the vomiting. Hi, Wipes can cause an obstruction please monitor if any signs reduced activity, reduced appetite, vomiting, diarrhea. If any of the signs start take to vet immediately. Keep her indoor so you can monitor her closely including monitor the litter box. Please keep away the wipes closed in a box and keep her away from the room while you use the wipes . Good Luck
