Why is my puppy foaming and vomiting after contact with cleaning wipes?

Ideally, Pepe should be seen by your veterinarian or at the nearest veterinary ER. In addition to the potentially toxic chemicals in the wipe, it may pose a risk of obstruction. Your veterinarian can induce vomiting via injection to get the wipe up and out. This is most successful when done within 2 hours of ingestion. Any longer and the wipe could move out of the stomach. If it blocks, this would be a surgical issue. Pepe may need medication to calm an upset stomach afterwards. A bland diet may also be recommended for a few days.

That was naughty of Luna to get ahold of this wipe. Luckily the wipe is bleach free, which is great! Likely she didn't eat it, but keep an eye on her for excessive drooling, mouth pain, lethargy, and decreased appetite. If you see any of those signs, have her seen by a vet. I hope this helps!

While there is not an antidote, there are medications that can help with the symptoms that are simply not over the counter. For that reason, it is recommended that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. If he has not developed signs of drooling, vomiting, gagging, retching so far, most likely he will be ok. Products used for cleaning carpets are irritant to the gums, esophagus and stomach but if he is liked only small amount of it, he should not get into any problems.

If Smokey only smelled the cleaning solution wouldn't be too concerned but you may want to take him outside to a well ventilated area to get some fresh air. If he drank any of the water I would watch for regurgitation, vomiting, lethargy and lack of appetite. If any of those things occur you should have Smokey examined by a veterinarian right away. Do not give her any more milk, it causes GI upset in dogs and wll make things worse. I can give you a home remedy for her to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, she vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away. I am concerned about a few possibilities: toxin - I am not familiar with the plants and animals native to South Africa but we have a few in the states that can do this parasites- a worm burden in the stomach or small intestine can cause this bleeding disorder - certain tick borne illnesses can cause bleeding ingestion of an acid or caustic agent, heat stroke, bleeding ulcer, electric shock, and cancer of the stomach or intestines can all ado this. I would recommend seeing the vet as soon as possible. He or she may recommend bloodwork and/or medications to stop the vomiting and ease nausea. Best wishes to you and Dapple.
