My puppy ate Lysol with bleach. Should I worry or call poison control?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 3 months and 22 days old | 10 lbs

My 3 month of lab mix puppy had an accident on the kitchen floor so I sprayed it with Lysol cleaner (it says it contained bleach) And after I wiped it up with a rag the puppy grabbed it from me for a few seconds but I quickly took it away. She sneezed a little when I took it so I'm afraid she got some in her mouth. It was only a few sprays of it that I wiped up but she did have it in her mouth. She drank some water after and is acting normal. Should I call the poison control number just in case?

Check her mouth for excessive reddening. if it looks evenly pink then there is likely no problem, especially since she drank some water. if you see a lot of reddening, spots, lesions, take her to a vet right away.

Then check her mouth, see if you can see any redness in her mouth. If you do, she will need to see a vet. Otherwise, keep an eye on her. My dog licked bleach. Is it dangerous? What should I do right now?

Well, it isn't good that Nilo licked bleach. Bleach is caustic, and it can cause oral and esophageal burns. Rinse his mouth out with water, and examine his mouth to see if you see any signs of burns. It's unlikely that one lick will cause serious problems, but monitor him for now. If he develops GI upset with excessive vomiting, bloody vomit, not eating and drinking, or dark tarry stools, he will need to see a vet immediately.

My puppy chewed a bleach bottle sprayer. What should I do if she's fine?

Oh that was naughty of Nymeria! Given that she didn't break the bottle, then she will likely be ok. Bleach is an irritant, and you can check her mouth to see if there are any sores or redness in her mouth. Rinse her mouth out with cold water, but if you don't see any redness or sores in her mouth, she likely didn't ingest any bleach and she should be fine :-)

Puppy smelled bleach & Pinesol. What signs of poisoning should I watch for?

If Smokey only smelled the cleaning solution wouldn't be too concerned but you may want to take him outside to a well ventilated area to get some fresh air. If he drank any of the water I would watch for regurgitation, vomiting, lethargy and lack of appetite. If any of those things occur you should have Smokey examined by a veterinarian right away. My puppy got into bleach water. What should I do immediately?

immediately wash your puppy in fresh water. rinse it off under under luke warm running water in the sink. Check its skin for damage, excessive reddening. If your puppy does have skin lesions or if it inhaled any of the bleach water or ingested it, you will need to take it to a per emergency room right away, Bleach water in the lungs or stomach is life-threatening.
