My puppy mouthed hair bleach. Should I be worried if she seems fine?

Oh that was naughty of Nymeria! Given that she didn't break the bottle, then she will likely be ok. Bleach is an irritant, and you can check her mouth to see if there are any sores or redness in her mouth. Rinse her mouth out with cold water, but if you don't see any redness or sores in her mouth, she likely didn't ingest any bleach and she should be fine :-)

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Domestos contains bleach. If it is not ultra concentrated and it was very dilute then the outcome is better. Usually symptoms start with in mins: drooling, red lips, irritation around the mouth, pawing around the mouth and vomiting if a lot is consumed. Bleach is corrosive causing irritation of the gums, esophagus and stomach. If the bleach you use is ultra concentrated then Harley should see a vet immediately. Otherwise if Harley got the bleach on his fur, bathe him in lots of water and mild soap. Rinse his mouth out with lots of water and encourage him to drink water. You can add chicken broth, tuna juice and even try some milk to encourage drinking. If he starts to show symptoms despite the above he should see a Vet. I hope this helps and I wish you the best!

Hello. If the bleach was pretty diluted in the water, then I would not be too concerned. Feed Mila 1-2 slices of white bread & this should dilute whatever is in the stomach further. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! To be safe, bathe Sabbath in case bleach got on his fur. Since cats groom themselves we wouldn't want him to get bleach in his mouth. If he'll let you, try to rinse his mouth, but don't do it if he tries to bite. My hope is that he didn't lick any and none spilled on him. If he starts drooling, not eating or breathing fast take him to the Vet. I hope this helps! Good luck!

Check her mouth for excessive reddening. if it looks evenly pink then there is likely no problem, especially since she drank some water. if you see a lot of reddening, spots, lesions, take her to a vet right away.
