Is my cat in heat or pain? She's vocal, meowing, lowering her back.

It could be that Misty is in heat! Being more vocal, and lifting her butt up with her tail to the side are signs of heat. If she isn't spayed, that's the more likely explanation for her behavior. If you don't want kittens, I would keep her indoors and away from intact male cats, and have her spayed once her heat is over in three weeks.

Nara has an odd posture to her back and based upon the way she is standing, I suspect she is either in heat or she has an injury to her back. It sounds like LaLa could be in heat! Cats in heat vocalize a lot and are more affectionate than usual. Their behavior can be extremely annoying while in heat, so I'd have her spayed if you don't want to deal with this anymore. Best of luck.

Yes, it is certainly possible that Yammy is in heat. She's the right age to go into heat for the first time, and the behavior she is showing can indicate being in heat as well. Presenting her bottom in the air is an indication she is willing to be mated. If you do not want kittens, I would keep her indoors and away from any intact males. Other possible causes are: she sees other cats outside (territorial), anxiety (cats outside, starting heat, changes to house hold), attention seeking, or medical issue. I would close the blinds temporarily, provide environmental enrichment (cat trees, interactive cat toys, lazer pointer, play with her) and consider spaying her. It is pssibel she is displaying signs of being in heat - I recommend you video the episodes and show them to your vet for analysis. If not, a pelvic xray during an episode would be advised in order to identify a source of the pain or any evidence of constipation, anal gland disease or other anomalies
