Can my cat eat my vitamin C tablet? Is human vitamin C safe for cats?

I do not see anything in those ingredients that would cause a problem in cats. The upper ingredients are mostly water soluble vitamins which would not cause any problem in a cat for the most part. (Very high levels of vitamin C can cause diarrhea, but that is not a high enough dose in 1 capsule.) The lower ingredients are 2 glandular supplements and licorice (which is not toxic to cats and is actually used in Chinese herbal formulas for cats). Vitamin C in excess is toxic to pets, especially cats. Plus Vitamin C won't cure her upper respiratory infection. It is indicated for people to help boost their immune system, but not so much in pets. She needs antibiotics to help her best. I'm surprised that Moxxi ate a Vitamin C tablet because they are usually very bitter. Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin, so we don't need to worry about toxicity, but high levels of Vitamin C can irritate the stomach and cause diarrhea. I would be worried that Moxxi may develop some stomach upset from that level of Vitamin C. It would be worthwhile to contact your veterinarian if she starts vomiting or develops diarrhea. Hello. It appears based on the label that you can give kittens 1 to 2 per day. That being said, if he is on a good, balanced diet he should not need a vitamin supplement. You can surely over-supplement a kitten and cause more harm than good. I would recommend a good balanced diet and no supplements. She should be fine. Coenzyme 10 is safe to give in high doses and she likely did not ingest enough to cause any problems. Hello. Neither one of these medications is toxic to cats in a one time dose. If Louis vomits at some point, it should be a one-time occurrence, but the omeprazole works as a stomach protectant in cats, just like in people, so he will be just fine.
