My cat ate my Cortrex. Is this human dietary supplement toxic for cats?

The dose of D3 ingested, 0.0125mg, will likely not pose a risk of serious toxicity. The dose of calcium is within published therapeutic ranges and should not cause a toxicity either. You can monitor for lethargy, increased thirst or urination and GI upset at home. Symptoms typically occur between 12 and 36 hours after ingestion. See your veterinarian if necessary.

That should not cause any damage or severe toxic effect. I would just monitor him at this stage but I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up if you notice diarrhoea, vomiting, lethargy or inappetence. She should be fine. Coenzyme 10 is safe to give in high doses and she likely did not ingest enough to cause any problems. Hello. I am sorry that your question was not addressed earlier, so I hope you have already taken your cats to the vet for decontamination & supportive care. There is really not very much information about this particular medication being consumed by a cat. It is basically progesterone, & we do know that higher doses can cause sedation, ataxia, anisocoria ( unequal pupils ) & disorientation. I found one documented source of a cat that consumed an unknown amount of progesterone, & all of the symptoms resolved over several hours with supportive care ( not identified, but probably included fluids & possible gastric decontamination with activated charcoal ). So if any of your cats are showing any of these signs, please have the cat examined by your veterinarian as soon as possible. If it has been several hours & everyone is looking & acting well, then you may still find the pill somewhere. But any concerns or doubts, please head out to your veterinarian. Vitamin C itself is fine for a cat to have. The only concern is if the tablet has any artificial sugars, or odd chemicals in it. If it is just Vitamin C, then it is perfectly OK for her to have some.
