How much vitamin supplement can I safely give my kitten daily?

I wouldn't advise on giving Calcium supplements to your kittens unless they have a known calcium deficiency, or you risk overdosing their system with Calcium, which can have adverse effects such as weakness, exercise intolerance, muscle wasting, listlessness, muscle twitching, and lethargy. It is best just to give your kitties a high quality kitten food, which has all the nutrients and supplements they need for an overall healthy diet. I hope this helps! Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Many vitamins can be toxic to cats or kittens if given in the wrong dose. I would instead make sure the kitten is on a good quality kitten food or milk replacer if not nursing the mother.

As long as they are eating a high quality diet made for kittens they do not need any extra vitamin supplements despite how much or how little they eat. If you want to give a vitamin you can but it needs to be one made for cats.

If she is eating a balanced high quality kitten food then she shouldn't need any vitamins. She may be avoiding you because she you are trying to force her to take the vitamins. Unless there is a medical reason why you are giving her vitamins, you could stop trying and see if the behavior changes.

While kittens can take vitamin supplements they shouldn’t need one if they have been fed a commercial diet. The most common cause of anemia in a kitten would be parasites or other infectious causes - I would recommend having your kittens examined by a vet who could identify the cause and prescribe medication.

Vitamin C itself is fine for a cat to have. The only concern is if the tablet has any artificial sugars, or odd chemicals in it. If it is just Vitamin C, then it is perfectly OK for her to have some.

No it is not safe to give your cat Vitamin B human grade b/c this would overdose him. In fact Vitamin B12 is not absorbed readily by mouth and must be given by injection to pets. This also isn't much of an appetite stimulant, but mostly helps with intestinal malabsorption. I would suggest that you ask your vet for anti-nausea medication (Cerenia) which is actually labeled to use for cats with kidney problems that have decreased appetite. It also help with nausea, which in turn can increase his appetite.
