She needs to be seen by your veterinarian or at the nearest veterinary ER immediately. Either can induce vomiting via injection to get the pills up and out. Activated charcoal may be given afterwards to further decrease absorption. This is most successful if done within 2 hours of ingestion. I would not be overly concerned, although the recommended dose is 5-10mg/lb (and an 8lb cat would have consumed approx 15mg/lb) it does have a wide safety margin and overdose symptoms are very rare. I would expect some mild gastrointestinal upset and a probiotic would be helpful to reduce the impact on the natural gut balance

In order to give you the best advice we would need to know the name of the medication. Can you please post again with that information? Cats are VERY sensitive to over the counter medications so it could very well be something toxic that he ingested and he may not show any symptoms of toxicity right away. Simba may develop some stomach upset (vomiting and/or diarrhea). You may be able to manage it at home with a short fast followed by a bland diet fed in small, frequent amounts until symptoms resolve. Monitor for lethargy, loss of appetite, persistent vomiting or diarrhea and abdominal pain. These are symptoms that should be addressed by your veterinarian.

Other than vomiting and/or diarrhea I wouldn't expect any real problems in most cases.
