My cat got scared on walk, broke nails & scratched nose. Vet check?

Is it possible that Mickey got in a fight with something? I can't tell from the photo's if the nail is actually broken or not. They do have an outter cuticle that can shed but the nail is still fine and intact. Examine the 'quik' of the nail (that's the pinkish area at the base of the nail). If the break is through that area, if you see blood or redness around the base of the nail, have Mickey examined by the veterinarian. Clean off his paws as best he will let you. Check him all over for any bite wounds and have him examined if any area found. You may also just have him examined to be safe. I would observe the lesion for oozing , infection , bleeding, excessive swelling, or even expanding. If none of this happens and it heals over the next week, then there is no need to take your kitty to the vet. Should the cut not heal, I would have your veterinarian examine it.

Hi, From what described above as superficial scratch and no active bleeding, which was cleaned and locally treated with antibiotic it possible it can wait for a few days. But if any if these signs present: bleeding, bothering him and he start scratching/ licking, redness, foul smell or discharge please take him to the vet earlier. In the meantime keep the area clean and you can continue with the antibiotic ointment under supervision to make sure he is not licking it due to the location which makes it easy for the dog to lick. Hi. I'm sorry to hear about your kitten. Just watch her for any signs of continued nose bleed, decrease in appetite, lethargy, facial swelling, change in mentation, wobbly when walking. If she acts normal, is eating, drinking, interacting the same without any problems most likely she is going to be fine. Kittens are very resilient but it is always good to check when these sorts of accidents happen. Best of luck!

Keep a close eye on it and if it does not improve in the next week or so, have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment though that is unlikely to be needed. I am sure it scared him more than anything. I do not see anything bad on that photo. If you notice any dry scabs or wounds then keep the neosporin on it and if it does not get better after a few days then take him to the vet.

From the pictures, it looks as though what you are seeing may be from trauma. Cat scratches to the face commonly occur on cats that are outdoor cats. Many times the hair will not grow back and the cat will be left with a small scar. If canto is indoor only and the nodule is raised, I would say get a vet to examine him to see for sure what it may be. It could be from a bug bite or a skin tumor of some type. If you cannot get to your vet right away, I would say just monitor for now and if it worsens get him seen sooner. It does not look infected or swollen from the picture. I would monitor for signs of infection which may include swelling, redness, painful to the touch, discharge, etc. I hope this helps!
