My dog's nail ripped off, quick exposed. How to care for it at home?

You can use both. A thin layer of iodine ointment will serve to help prevent infection. The Woun’ dres can be applied over it. If Caesar is likely to lick it, I recommend an e-collar. He may chew and eat a bandage if he isn’t wearing an e-collar. Bandages are also tricky because they can trap moisture and can tighten, cutting off circulation to the paw. I would continue applying both three times a day until the nail bed appears completely dry and scabbed over. You can place a toddler sock or a bootie over the paw when you take Caesar outside to pee and poop but I would avoid long walks for the next week. Good luck!

Dog won't let me cut her long nails; she bites and it hurts her.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco. You have basically two options 1) Get some anti-anxiety medication and try again (or have the vet office try again) 2) take some serious time to train her. Feed treats while you touch the feet. Repeat daily until she has no concern about it. Then continue to give treats while you hold the nail clippers. When she is comfortable with that, progress to touching the clippers to the nail. Finally progress to just clipping the tip of the nail, etc. Best of luck to you and Ash!

My dog's nail is cut or broken. What should I do to treat it?

It looks like Dante broke his nail. I recommend getting a bootie to protect it and keeping it clean. Ideally Dante would have antibiotics and pain medication to help him which would come from a veterinarian. I would also recommend an elizabethan collar so Dante does not lick at that paw. My cat's soft claw glue dried. Can I use super glue for nail caps?

Crazy glue/Super glue will work. Trim your cat's claws, poke the end of the glue tip into the nail cap, then push it onto your cat's claw as far as it will comfortably go. You may end up glued to a nail cap, your cat's fur or yourself, but that's not unusual, for me at least. ;-) Good luck!

Hi there. You could try putting a sock or dog boot on her foot to try to protect it. Rinsing a few times a day to keep it clean is important too.
