- This is for parakeets. They are the smallest species of parrot. Definitely not.

I have had my parakeet for about 1 month now. When cleaning his cage, I noticed that his cuttlebone seemed to be untouched. Due to this, I have moved it to be a tad bit more accessible, but it doesn't seem like he knows what to do with it. What should I do?

Tahani's beak is over grown, I have tried filing it myself as I have experience with that but could not get it much shorter. She has perches and toys to chew (and she does chew them) but her beak just keeps growing. I plan to visit a vet in the next few weeks, but Im wondering what the cause could be?
