Why is my rabbit pooping everywhere and so frequently when hopping?

It is not unusual for rabbits to defecate several times throughout the day - they are hind gut fermenters and therefore eat almost constantly, so they produce a lot of poop! As long as the feces is not soft/liquid, frequent passing of fecal balls is normal. If you are ever concerned that Khargi is sick or acting abnormal, Khargi should be evaluated by your veterinarian! You can always bring a fecal sample with you to the vet to be evaluated for any parasites. I hope this is helpful!

Rabbits can be territorial, and will often leave poop to make their territory. I see that Hazel is unspayed, which would contribute to the problem. Unspayed rabbits mark their territory more than spayed rabbits. If you added a new rabbit to the house, this could account for her pooping constantly. However, a sudden change in toilet behavior from a previously litter trained animal can suggest an underlying medical problem. I would recommend taking Hazel to your vet for a physical exam to see if there is a medical cause behind her pooping constantly.

Yes, rabbits really should be going that often and in a small cage you should be expecting to empty the litter daily. Rabbits should have hay, available everyday as well as grass and a variety of rabbit friendly fresh or dried herbs, leaves and barks also. Ideally a complete pellet should be offered to prevent the picky eating, these are available supplemented with mint, herbs or dandelions to tempt them

Rabbits have a very sensitive GI system. Some causes for loose/wet stools: * internal parasites (worms) * colitis * dietary indiscretion (ate a food she that was new to her) * stress Those are just a few reasons. My suggestion is to start her on a probiotic and if there is no change or the condition worsens then she will need to see a vet. This is a normal type of feces for rabbits to make and is normally consumed directly from the anus, which is why most owners do not see it. Most rabbits eat this feces based on their vitamin needs and it can vary day to day. I recommend feeding Stanley a diet of rabbit pellets, hay, and occasional fresh fruits and veggies. The pellets appear normal. Rabbits have 2 types of stool. The ones pictured and cecotropes, or night stool which they ingest to absorb additional nutrients. The white substance is likely dried calcium from the urine. Rabbits excrete excess calcium in the urine, frequently giving it a white or cloudy appearance. This is normal and no cause for concern.
